

FireStone 2"Soniea," Olivia's fingers clutched mine tightly and I glanced down to see her looking over her shoulder. We were headed through a small town; more of a hamlet really because there was not even a church. It was a relief; we'd seen nothing but olive trees and a musty old barn for most of the previous day and the whole of this morning. But as we emerged out of the stunted, hot smelling forest of pungent olives, we'd seen a well. Olivia had run to it and we'd filled out waterskins and passed through.
